PRSA Georgia Recognizes Members Emeriti at Annual Awards Celebration

PRSA Georgia recognized two PRSA Members Emeriti at the Annual Awards Celebration on November 7, 2013. PRSA Member Emeritus is a recognition given to professionals who have served PRSA for more than 50 years.
Senior counselor for Manning, Selvage & Lee, George established its Atlanta officein 1965. He spearheaded the Forward Atlanta campaign in the 1960s and is widelyregarded as the dean of public relations in Atlanta. The Georgia Chapter of PRSAnamed its annual award for outstanding community service the George GoodwinAward. While a reporter for The Atlanta Journal, George won the 1948 Pulitzer Pricefor distinguished local reporting.

Active in corporate communications in Atlanta since 1951, Dick was long associatedwith the pioneering advertising and public relations agency, Liller Neal, Inc., serving asChairman/CEO in the 1980’s. Throughout a span of more than a half century, includingretirement years, Dick has held leadership positions in some 30 professional, civic,charitable, religious and educational organizations, locally and nationally. He was generalchairman of the first PRSA national conference in Atlanta in the late 60’s and the 1979recipient of the national PRSA Paul Lund Service Award.
