Distinguished PR Award: Hala Moddelmog
Hala Moddelmog is a business and civic leader with more than 20 years in president and CEO roles. She also serves as a corporate director for two NYSE companies – FLEETCOR Technologies and Lamb Weston – and as a board member of several blue-chip nonprofit organizations.
As the first female president and CEO of the nearly 160-year-old Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Hala works on behalf of FORTUNE 500 companies and small to medium-sized businesses in the country’s ninth largest metro region. Prior to joining MAC, Hala was president of Arby’s Restaurant Group, president and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and the first woman to lead an international restaurant company as president of Church’s Chicken.

Whitney Jones joined Porter Novelli in 2014 and has worked on a variety of consumer and B2B clients for Atlanta’s corporate/consumer team. She leads large-scale global consumer campaigns such as Feed a Bee, a Bayer initiative to plant more flowers for pollinators, and works with some of Georgia’s favorite brands. For the past two years, she has led planning and execution for Habitat for Humanity’s national cause-giving program “Home is the Key,” and is currently working with the Vidalia Onion Committee to raise awareness and affinity for the official state vegetable of Georgia.
For PRSA Georgia, Whitney serves as the Professional Development Committee co-chair. Whitney graduated summa cum laude with bachelor’s degrees in Public Relations and Spanish from the University of Georgia.
